Fatma Üstündağ is a founding partner at Unkan & Üstündağ.

Fatma is highly experienced in commercial law, law of obligations, employment law, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, anticorruption and compliance. She is advising domestic and foreign clients active in energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, automotive and agriculture sectors. Fatma is also advising on compliance related matters.

Fatma started her legal career at a leading Turkish law firm. Mid-career, she enriched her experience through a year’s tenure at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France focusing on dispute resolution. Thereafter, she moved her career in house and worked at a multinational energy company as General Counsel responsible for Turkey, Greece, Balkan Countries, Israel, and Azerbaijan. Fatma started her own practice at the end of 2017 and in 2021, she established Unkan & Üstündağ with co-founder Ruba Unkan Ergener.

Fatma currently serves on the board of directors of Bosch Fren Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. as an independent member. She is also an active member of the WeCounsel a group advocating for women business owners certified by WeConnect International.
